Cadis 1898

The roots of Cadis began in 1898 with the founding of Cantina di Soave in Italy’s Verona region. The Veneto region is a prestigious agricultural mosaic, and the idea was to unite the many small producers of the famous DOC denominations into one solid producer to represent the region internationally and domestically. Today, Cadis has 7 facilities, 5 different wine brands representing 3 different DOC denominations, Soave, Valpolicella, and Durello, with some 2000 grower-members contributing to the production of wines for these brands.

Grape selection is carried out by meticulous, careful analysis and selection through 17 different evaluation parameters, thus ensuring high quality levels. This high-level standard was recognized internationally in 2018 when Cadis was awarded the prestigious “Best Italian Producer of the Year” in London at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

The Wines

The Winery

Situated in Veneto, Italy

Historically formed in 1898, Cadis represents some of Veneto’s famous DOC appellations, Soave, Valpolicella, and Durello. Comprising some 2000 members from all these various regions, this award-winning cooperative boasts some 5 brands and 7 wine-making facilities. The key words to describe Cadis are sustainability, quality and commitment. Sustainable viticulture is an evident commitment to keeping the land healthy for future generations through vineyard management and monitoring, rainwater basins for water conservation, and respecting soil biodiversity. Recognizing energy conservation, reducing electrical consumption, energy-efficient machinery, solar panels, and other sustainable efficiency. Respecting the historical value of the land, protecting centuries-old trees, and protecting the surrounding environment.

Quality is ensured through meticulous grape selection, which goes through 17 rigorous evaluation parameters. Only the best quality grapes are used for wine production. Vinification is controlled with state-of-the-art equipment, and all bottling is done in-house. The entire production is all estate-grown fruit and bottling.
