Ichiro Akuto, Chichibu's iconic master distiller and blender, travels the world to choose casks of whiskies from some of the best distilleries in the world. He then blends these 10-year-old malt and grain casks with his own Chichibu and Hanyu single malt whiskies and ages them for additional time, in various different casks, in Japan's accelerated ageing climate.
