The Glenrothes Distillery was established in Rothes in 1878. Between 1963 and 1989, it increased the number of stills at the site from four to ten, and in 1993 released its first 1979 vintage. Its single malt is notably used in the famous blends Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse. With incredible balance and depth, the palette of flavours and aromas found in this version is also astoundingly full. A subtle mix of accomplished maturity and youth, note after note, it reveals a hilly landscape whose colourful tones very closely recreate those of Speyside. A limited edition of 448 bottles.
