Ichiro Akuto, Chichibu's iconic master distiller and blender, travels the world to choose casks of whiskies from some of the best distilleries in the world. Once the marriage of malts is created by Ichiro, they are finished in wine casks from some of the notable wineries of the world to finish the ageing process. A whisky with exuberant colour of amber with orange reflections, displaying rich aromas of orange zest and chocolate, along with star anise spice and delicate maltiness. The maltiness, sweet spices, and red fruits dominate the palate profile, with dark chocolate and walnuts sustaining the lingering fruity finish.
